⚙️ Settings & Quality
How do the resize settings work? +
• Leave Both Blank: Keeps the original size. Perfect
for just converting file formats (e.g., JPG to WebP)!
• Width only: Keeps the original aspect ratio based on the
width.
• Height only: Keeps the original aspect ratio based on the
height.
• Both: Forces the image to the exact size (may distort the
image).
Can I use these images for printing? +
minipicc is optimized for web use (72 DPI). While the images
look great on screens and social media, professional printing
usually requires 300 DPI. For digital performance and fast loading,
72 DPI is the global standard.
📱 Formats & Compatibility
Which formats are supported? +
You can save in JPG, PNG, or WebP. • PNG/WebP:
Supports transparency.
• WebP: Best quality-to-size ratio.
Note: minipicc only shows formats your current browser supports.
If you don't see WebP, your browser (like older Safari) might not
support creating it yet.
Why isn't animated GIF resizing supported? +
While minipicc ensures 100% Private local processing
for all files, we currently focus on static images (JPG, PNG, WebP)
to maintain maximum Speed. Processing animated GIFs requires
heavy background libraries that could significantly slow down your
browser experience. We are committed to providing a fast tool
without the bloat of heavy processing.
Is WebP better than JPG or PNG? +
In terms of performance, yes! WebP provides much smaller file
sizes with better quality.
However, consider compatibility: While modern browsers and
platforms fully support WebP, some older websites, CMS, or email
clients might not accept it yet.
• Use WebP for modern web performance.
• Use JPG/PNG if you need universal compatibility across all
platforms and servers.
Why can't I download the .zip file? +
Many In-app Browsers (Instagram, KakaoTalk, etc.) restrict
direct file downloads for security.
To fix this:
1. Tap the menu icon (⋮ or share icon) in your app.
2. Select "Open in Browser" (Chrome or Safari).
3. Now you can download ZIP files without any issues! 🐷
